Sunny Side Diner in Bennington

Great small town diner with great food and great people. We are there while passing through on a 10-day New England road trip and it ended up being one of the best overall meals of the trip!

Food, service, homey atmosphere all great

This gorgeous little gem has been a great standby, boasts great food cooked to your liking. Superior atmosphere with friendly staff. Air conditioned. Very clean and reasonable prices. I always loved this place. Keep up the great work guys. Thank you for another positive dining experience.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch. The crowd there is always pleasant and friendly. The customer service is always positive. The food options are plentiful and there are some tasty recipes. The Raspberry Pancakes for instance, they are delicious and packed with berries.

Great breakfasts! Love the freshness of the spinach-mushroom-Swiss omelet. Delicious! We make it a point to eat here each time we visit our son at school.

My pancakes were good.. but my friends ask for hot dogs and they didnt like the tase..

The service was good. I ordered biscuits for gravy and I didn't care for the gravy at all. Maybe it's just me but I like my gravy creamy and not where I can see through it. Cute place and like I said service was great!

Nice little diner; just what we like for breakfast. We were happily greeted as we came through the door. Service was fast, food was very good, coffee was good. Passing through town on our way home from a trip, we weren't familiar enough to know good places to eat in the area. Would stop here anytime.

Very cute and quaint diner! I had the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and they were delicious! Very generous sides of toast and always a full coffee cup. The diner is on the small side, which makes you feel right at home, but the tables were packed on a Wednesday morning, so they definitely know how to bring in the customers! I decided to withhold a star for the lack of fresh fruit, but they said that once they get the fruit, no one orders it, so get the fruit! All in all, a very well put together, small scale breakfast diner.

We've been in twice, ate only once. Food was mediocre. They're always miserable in there! (I think they only like their local crowd.) Definitely nothing SUNNY about this place! Wouldn't recommend or go back. Go to Dutchman's Tavern down the street!

I've only been here twice but wow... Delicious. Great atmosphere. Busy but efficient staff. If I'm ever in the area again then I'm definitely going back.

Food was super delicious and the people are extremely helpful. I placed an order of 5 items, the manager labeled each container and put them all in a box for me to carry out. Very pleasant experience

Stopped in for lunch. Had a lovely cup of "Grandma's soup" and tuna salad on a roll. Waitress was pleasant. There's parking, which is nice. Great little Diner in Bennington.

Food was good. People were nice. Place is clean. Great menu, and specials items.

I come here often but sadly service was poor. We were placed at the back table where the busing station is. The rotten smell was very bad from trash stacking up. We asked for another table and the lady at the counter did not even respond to us. To his credit, the young man busing tables took the stacked dishes and tried to do something. And he was working very hard. I still left a good tip because of that young man. When paying, the same cash register person just seemed not happy or thankful for my business. I know it was prom and college graduation weekend, but I would have hoped for more from you all.

My husband and I are big fans of this spot. Ample parking (we don't need it since we're in walking distance but it's a real bonus for tourists and others who live outside of downtown); clean, bright, cute space; super friendly, fast and attentive staff. The coffee is good and the food is always hot and fresh. They have standard breakfast fair plus specials that change each day and muffins by the counter. If the Sunnyside Special is available (2 eggs any style over hashbrowns and meat) I can't recommend it enough!

Good service sets a place apart. The one waitress acknowledged us immediately with a smile, and we were served in 4 minutes.. ..with properly cooked over-hard eggs and lean not-greasy hash. The coffee is strong, too. We just stopped (easy off the highway), yet I'd eat here again.

We ate here three days in a row on a recent weekend trip. Hearty breakfasts done right. Family friendly. Attentive staff. Sometimes a small wait but worth it for perfect pancakes, sausage and omelettes. Would love iced coffee on the menu, but settled for a cup of ice with the cup of joe. We'll be back for sure.

Sunny Side Diner is a perfect lunch stop! The décor is bright and inviting, and there's nice big windows that let in a lot of natural light. They offer breakfast and lunch specials that all sound delicious. The regular menu has a nice variety and is easy to read. The chicken & mushroom croissant I had was tasty, but needed just a little bit more cheese to make it perfect. The wait staff was all very nice and quick with everything we needed. If you're in Bennington be sure to stop in!

Food is delicious and service is both excellent and friendly.

This is a cheerful, clean, bright place. Breakfast specials and good soups, chili, sandwiches, burgers, wraps and more. Table service and a counter. Very moderate and reasonable prices. In town of Bennington yet not in center of cross roads, must go a few blocks west on Main St. On southwest corner. There's ample, free parking. Will go back as often as I can.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon while spending the weekend in town. The restaurant was sunny, the atmosphere relaxed and the food good. We both had surprisingly good omelets and the rye toast was thick and fresh. We’ll be back!
